Prudential ranks No. 2 among FORTUNE® magazine's ‘World’s Most Admired Companies’
Prudential Financial is the second most admired life/health insurance company in the world, according to FORTUNE magazine.

Prudential achieved the highest ranking of any publicly held life insurance company named on FORTUNE's 2010 "World's Most Admired Companies" list. Only mutual company New York Life ranked higher in the Insurance: Life, Health category.

Prudential moved up two spots from its No. 4 ranking on last year's "Most Admired" list. Among the companies that followed Prudential on the 2010 list were Aflac, MetLife, Northwestern Mutual, AXA, Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance and TIAA-CREF.

FORTUNE's "Most Admired" list is considered the definitive report on corporate reputations. To determine this year's list, the magazine surveyed 667 companies from 33 countries. Executives, directors and analysts were asked to rate companies on nine key attributes of reputation: people management; use of corporate assets; social responsibility; quality of management; financial soundness; long-term investment; quality of products/services; and global competitiveness. Prudential received high marks in the areas of social responsibility, global competitiveness, innovation and long-term investment.

Be alert to the health and safety of our families

Awal Tahun Kereta Api Indonesia Mengalami Kecelakaan di Daerah Banjar, Ciamis,Jawa Barat.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID,BANDUNG - Sebanyak 16 korban luka-luka akibat tabrakan Kereta Api Mutiara Selatan dengan Kutojaya di Stasiun Langensari, Kota Banjar, Jawa Barat, masih dirawat di rumah sakit. "Laporan terakhir masih ada 16 korban luka yang masih menjalani perawatan. Dua di antaranya akan dirujuk ke Rumah Sakit (RS) Kebon Jati dan RS Gombong," kata Kepala Humas PT Kereta Api (KA) Daop II Bandung, Bambang Setya Prayitno, ketika dihubungi ANTARA.

Menurut Bambang, ke-16 korban itu dirawat di tiga rumah sakit, yakni 12 orang di RSUD Banjar, RSUD Tasikmalaya satu dan RS Hasan Sadikin Bandung tiga orang. Korban yang dirawat di RSUD Banjar adalah Hindun, Yayang, A Tusiman, Sutrisno, Indea, Sri Lestari, Sarmini. Marsih, Aas Saefullah, Ujang Hendrik. Sedangkan dua lainnya Sain dialihkan ke RS Kebon Jati Bandung dan Sugito dialihkan perawatannya ke RSUD Gombong.

Poniman saat ini masih dirawat di RSUD Tasikmalaya, sedangkan tiga korban yang luka berat dirawat di RS Hasan Sadikin Bandung.Empat korban luka-luka lainnya sudah diperkenankan pulang yakni Surati, Nanik, Maryadi dan Sumirahyuningsih.

"Semua biaya perawatan ditanggung PT KA dan Asuransi Jasa Raharja," kata Bambang.

Tabrakan KA Mutiara Selatan dengan KA Kutojaya terjadi pada Jumat (28/1) pukul 20.25 WIB di lintasan tiga Stasiun Langensari, Kota Banjar. KA Kutojaya Selatan yang sedang berhenti di lintasan tiga ditabrak KA Mutiara Selatan yang sedang melaju menuju Bandung. Kecelakaan ini masih diselidiki Komisi Nasional Keselamatan Transportasi (KNKT), Tim Internal PTKA, serta pihak kepolisian.
